The world is full of loving, energetic and positive people, but none so
genuine as our good friend, Tyler. That is why we have chosen to join forces
to help Tyler in her fight against cancer. Please help us "FIGHT WITH TYLER"!!!
We are asking friends, family and friends of friends to help rally support for an amazing woman, Tyler Fishman Manchuck, who is currently battling cancer. Come join us on February 4th, 2010 at The Independent in San Francisco for the All-In Ball to celebrate and show support for Tyler. If you cannot make it to the event you can also donate here.
Perhaps you have seen her written up in DWELL, San Francisco Magazine, Sunset Magazine or countless other publications for her outstanding contributions to domestic and international green landscape architecture. Aside from being a founder, accomplished and recognized designer with her firm, Shades of Green, Tyler is a wife, daughter, sister and wonderful friend.
In 2008, at the young age of 33, Tyler was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, cervical adenocarcinoma. Since then, she has endured a radical hysterectomy, two separate terms of chemo and radiation and numerous alternative treatments to help boost her strength and immune system. Unfortunately, despite all her efforts, Tyler's cancer has returned and she is currently undergoing a third round of chemotherapy. This new treatment plan, recommended by her doctors, has been denied coverage by her insurance!!! We are organizing this fund raiser to help Tyler, her husband Chris & her family get through these stressful times.
Despite all that she has been through, she and Chris maintain a sunny outlook, appreciative of their family, friends, dog and all that life has to offer, and have been a true inspiration for us all. Tyler is a HUGE believer in positive thoughts and wishes. THANK YOU for your continued love and support, together our positive energy and efforts will have a huge impact on Tyler's fight.
